I got great news to share about the Hunt's family, thanks to Paul Hirose for forwarding Sandee's email:

Dear Friends and Family,

Lifelong memories are so cool. The birth of Riley and our marriage celebration are unforgettable to us. Bringing Karina Eliana back to our apartment to live with us is surely another.

The 'birth" took place at around noon Kazakh time Tuesday April 11 (at about 11 pm Pacific time). We were told to be ready to go in 15 minutes and have Karina's clothes with us. We were ready and downstairs in 10.

The past week has been filled with more ups and downs than we can include in this note. We just want you to know that GOD IS SO GOOD.

He has let us soar when in the mountains and has wrapped us tightly in his arms carrying us through the valleys.

Karina has eaten a mighty lunch of two bowls of soup, lots of cheese, chips, oranges, cookies and juice. She christened the bedroom with her first little accident! She has played with toys, colored, and even taken a quick bocha (Japanese for bath). She napped for only 10 minutes, with Sandee napping longer right next to her. For dinner she ate as much as the adults and would have eaten more if we would have let her. We played a bit after dinner and she spoke her first words to us! She whispered, 'Papa" and 'Mama" in a toilet paper tube like a megaphone. Every minute she seems more comfortable and more filled with joy. We can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring!

We thank all of you for the outpouring of love through emails, prayers, thoughts, advice and support. We could have never gotten through this' experience' without each of you. We have made it over the mountainwith a few more hills to go.

Love,
Karina, Riley, Sandee and Brice
