18 holes at Heartwell GC (Long Beach)

I had a very stressful day at work and the ONLY thing I was looking forward to was playing golf with my coworkers. What I didn't know was that I was going to be playing 18 holes (5:30 - 8:18pm).

A beautiful day in Long Beach, CA! We finally decided on Heartwell Golf Course in LB since the course was short and Mike U was still recovering from back injuries.

Joe tees off. He did well. He had to go after nine holes.

Mike U. finally got back into the swing of things.

The Master Golfer - Rodney, par'ed just about every hole! Rod stuck with us until about the 12th or 13th hole.

In end, it was just me and Mike to finish the 18 hole course (by then the wet grass and the bugs were getting to me)!

I grabbed dinner at the newest Chick-Fil-a Restaurant at the Long Beach Town Center on my way home and I wasn't even thinking about WORK (until tomorrow morning)!

It was a GRUELING 18 holes but I made it! More training for James H's bachelor party in two weeks (18 holes of golf, BBQ, and an evening of Angel Baseball)!

Tiger Dreams

I never thought of myself as major fan of Tiger Woods (aside from wanting to dress like him and beholding him as the prince of GOLF) but after a particular long REM sleep session on this Memorial Day, I actually had a dream that I WAS Tiger Woods on the Links; weird huh?! No more MILK before BEDTIME!!!

X-Men The Last Stand

Finally saw "X-Men The Last Stand" last night. If you're a comic fan-boy like me, there's plenty to like!

My beef about X3 ... (highlight to see)

WARNING: Minor Spoiler in invisotext:

1. They killed off some major characters way too early!
2. Storyline differs somewhat from the comic history
3. Barely any Psyclocke scences !!!
4. The emotional highpoint was when Professor X was ____ ____ and the ____ afterwards.

Also, don't leave until AFTER the credits finish or you miss a VERY KEY scene!!

Go See It Fan-Boys (and girls) !!!

Golfing at Iron-Wood 9 - afterwork

Watch out for flying clubs! DB was having a tough time at the golf course!

Went golfing with Joe and Wai after work today. It was a beautiful day and the golf course was crowded. It wasn't too bad once we started. We had a Filipino gentleman, Ed who join us. He seemed like a really friendly guy until he started giving me all this unwanted advice. I got really frustrated with my golfing during the first two holes (and with Ed talking so much). At one point, I had to walk away from the group and took some hard swings into the air. It wasn't until mid-way in the fourth hole that I started to enjoy golfing again.

Ed tees off at #2

This was just like a scene from the movie "Caddyshack", a little gopher popped outta of his hole and was playing hide & seek with Wai and I. If you click on the photo you can see a close up of the gopher. Okay, where was my "gopher shooting iron" ?!

Approach to Hole # 9

Chipping area at Iron-Wood.

I think I shot a 56 ... can't putt worth a crap or drive or chip shot but it was fun being outside playing under a beautiful California sky!

Agasse Sushi & Grill - Cypress, CA

Another round of "All you can eat Sushi" after work. It was just the boys from the office. I finally got to meet the "famous Model-Waitress" tonight. She's actually pretty nice and better looking than her photos on the wall.

It was good, now I'm home watching "24" !!

TV Finale Clash part 3

Why do the Networks do this to us poor viewers!?!

On FOX, it's the last TWO HOURS of "24" ... will Jack Bauer be able to stop the Russian Terrorists from launching rockets at American targets? Will the evil Prez get away will all the wrong doings?!

On ABC, it's also the last two hours of the SERIES Finale of "ALIAS" ... Is there hope for Syd and "what's his name"?

On CBS, it's CSI: Miami, will H get the guys who murdered his new bride?!

On local stations in Arizona and LA, the Clippers have to beat the Suns to stay in the NBA Western Conference.

Choices, choices, choices ....

P.S. Don't forget, it's the final TWO Episodes of "LOST" on Wednesday!
