It was too nice to eat (until after I shot this photo)! Thanks R!!!

Turkey and Mah Jong

Ah ... the familar sounds of those little green & white tiles clicking and clacking against one another. I got to play a few hands of the ancient Chinese game of Mah Jong on Turkey Day (with alot of help from the experts!).

New "Lost" Episode tonight!

Gee, what happens when the survivors from the tail section of Flight 815 meets up with the other survivors (after one of them shoots and kills poor Shannon)? It'll be a "Collision" (the name of tonight's episode).

Next episode is call "What Kate Did". It airs next Wednesday, November 30th.

How do you see Jesus?

I saw this in LA Times awhile ago and it made me think, "How do I view Jesus?"

Skeet shooting at Burro Canyon

It was a "blast" (pun intended) hanging out with the West Covina Church with their skeet shooting fellowship last year. Let me know if you wanna try Skeet or Trap shooting.

The Original Webmaster

Actually I hate SPIDERS ... but they have the coolest web making abilities!

new Harry Potter movie

Just caught the new HP's "Goblet of Fire" movie on Saturday with my friend "Senor La Bamba" (ask me offline about that). "Goblet of Fire" was pretty cool! It did deserve it's PG-13 rating and a nice coming of age tale. Just heard on the news that "Goblet" is on track to becoming the 10th most gro$$ing movie with it's 100 million dollar opening weekend.

U2 on 60 Minutes Last Night

The Irish Rock Band U2 was featured on 60 Minutes last night. Ed Bradley interviewed Bono and others about their music and their involvement with social justice activism. DB recorded it if you would like to check this out.

From Butterball to Jook!

DB recently went to Von's to buy a turkey for a church luncheon (for a teen moms ministry). Here are some photos from the frozen solid bird to turkey rice porridge (jook). It was pretty involved! The photos are alittle out of order but the "jook" was yummy!

HDTV-land

A few months ago DB got pretty dis-satisfied with regular TV after seeing his buddy Karl's Sony HDTV. DB busted out the credit card and got on the High Definition TV scene.

After borrowing a friend's truck and buying that long desired HDTV; DB single handly carried in the 120lb HD CRT by himself (nearly died in the process and nearly dropped the set twice). DB's roomie had to help him lift it into the entertainment center (pictured).

After all that and resubscribing to HD cable service, DB finds out that there is only six HD stations (sucks)! Oh well!

Thanksgiving @ Work

Yum, I have to say that my company doesn't cut corners when it comes to treating it's employee well! I'm stuff and full of "Tryptophan"! We even had a showing of "I, Robot" in the conference room (not sure how seeing Will Smith buck naked is related to Turkey Day). And an employee dessert potluck and games. Along the way, one of the guys at my office got his car "Post It'ed".

Yep, just another day at the office.

Let's play GOLF!

Well actually, I just signed up for Golf lessons (to add to the growing list of interests that I already have). My friend from church GL got me to sign up with him to take lessons at the local range in Cerritos in January 2006. Any good advice for newbies?!

(The NEW) Battlestar Galactica

Okay, okay, so I admit to being a scifi geek but the new "Battlestar Galactica" (also known as "BSG" among it's growing legion of fans) is one of the best drama on television (to quote "LA TIMES" and "TV GUIDE").

Next new episode starts on January 6th, the countdown has begun.

LOST Fan-antic!

So I'm officially hooked on ABC's "Lost". So after last night's episode are you guys more symp. towards Ana Luca? And is Shannon really dead? So who are the "Others"? My Coworker thinks there's a giant magnet on the island that pulled in Flight 815.

DB's newest family member

Introducting my nephew, Ford!! He just arrived from Toisan recently! Stay tune for the Christmas photos!!

Favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons

Oops, I'm having a flashback! I keep hearing "Ookla, Ariel, Ride", "Demon Dogs!" It must be time for "Thundarr the Barbarian"! Incidently, "Ookla" is the phonetic pronunciation of UCLA, and I guess Ookla the Mok kinda looks like a bruin too!

What's your fav Saturday morning show from yesteryear?

Music Legends

The Mississippi Delta is rich with many music legends amongs them: BB King and his guitar, "Lucille" of Indianola, MS (20 miles from DB's hometown) and Blues legends Robert Johnson who died near G'wood in the 1930's under mysterious circumstances.

Robert Johnson supposely made a deal with the Devil on the Crossroads near Greenwood to obtain the unearthly guitar playing skills that he was famous for.

RJ influence many well known artists including The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton.

What's Ole Miss?

Ole Miss is the nickname for the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Ms. Giant Quarterback, Eli Manning played for the Ole Miss Rebels like his dad, Archie Manning did in the 1970's. Eli's big brother is NFL Colt's quarterback, Peyton Manning who also played for Ole Miss' SEC rival University of Tennessee.

Unfortunately, Ole Miss was also known for a riot in 1962 protesting the admission of the first black student. It took the 82nd Airborne division to allow this to happen.

Ole Miss' Mascot is Col. Rebel (who looks pretty much like the UNLV Running Rebel mascot) and NOT like Col. Saunders of KFC fame (per Pastor Kevin).
