Watching the Duck play the Avalanche

Saw the Ducks play tonight

at the newly renamed Honda Center (formerly Arrowhead Pond)

Here's Wild Wing

Yup, Honda's name is everywhere here!

Some action on the ice

The Ducks score one!

During the break, they put this poor guy on the spot for Ducks NHL trivial (no pressure)!
Here are the Duck's Power Players

I guess the Power Players gals have to earn their keep at the Honda Center. In this case, shoveling the excess ice around the goals. (Well, baseball has their bat-girls)

Here two of them launching tee shirts into the crowds.

"Brrrrrrrr", they don't exactly wear alot on the ice. I guess that would be one disadvantage.

The Avalanche Goalie makes another save!

Here's the Ducks' goalie Ilya Bryzgalov from Russia.

The Ducks score another goal!

The Ducks breaks their losing streak, beating the Avalanche 5 to 3 tonight! It was a pretty exciting game!

Busy Saturday

DB had a very busy day!

8:30am at the Long Beach Convention Center for a golf expo.

Got to try out the new "square head" driver from Nike.

Got a putting analysis too!

My cellular temporarily took a dump; so I had to use my cordless to hook up with my friend E.

We carpooled to downtown LA ...

to catch a Clipper NBA basketball game at the Staple Center.

We saw alot of new building going up around the Staple Center.

Here I am in front of the Staple Center.

a brewski and a "Super Nachos"

hmmm, a nice cold one!

aaaaw, the Clipper girls (uh, Clipper Spirits).

Elton Brand takes a free throw.

Heres Eugene and DB at the game

Reporter from Channel 5 Sports

All eyes (and cameras) on the ball!

The Final Score, the Clipper break their losing streak!

We stopped by Famima!! on Figueroa (downtown LA) on our way to the car. Here's a Char Su Bow dispenser.

Famima!! is sort like a Japanese fancy 7-11.

Eugene and I went to Tofu House for an early dinner.

Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ in Brea

My 2nd dinner (I sound like a "Hobbit") was at Lucille's Smokehouse BBQ in Brea! I had a "Texas Brisket" sandwich. I should tell Bev about this one.

Got this funny birthday card from my prayer support group and a really generous GC to Birch Hills GC!! thanks fellows!!

TV Rantings

Taye Diggs joins "Grey's Anatomy" spinoff

By Nellie Andreeva Today at 7:18 am
Taye Diggs will star opposite Kate Walsh in ABC's potential spinoff from hit medical drama "Grey's Anatomy."

The show will test the waters as a back-door pilot, an expanded two-hour episode of "Grey's" slated to air in May. It will center on neonatal surgeon Addison Shepherd (Walsh), a character who has enjoyed a strong following from fans since she was introduced at the end of the hot surgical drama's first season.

It is understood that the back-door pilot episode will feature Shepherd on the verge of leaving Seattle Grace, a scenario that will be triggered if ABC goes with the spinoff for next season. There were no details on the character Diggs will play.

"Grey's" creator/executive producer Shonda Rhimes is writing the episode and is expected to shepherd the potential series. Meanwhile, Rhimes' other ABC pilot, about female journalists, has been pushed to a summer production start.

Diggs' casting in the "Gray" spinoff stems from a new talent holding deal he recently signed with ABC TV Studio, where "Grey's Anatomy" is based. He starred in two drama series for the studio, "Kevin Hill" for UPN and "Day Break" for ABC.
