SERIES: THE GENESIS EFFECT: How We Got Here From There
MESSAGE: EAST OF EDEN
TEXT: Genesis 3:21-24

SYNOPSIS: A wrap-up of our series. This obscure end of Chapter 3 reinforces the major theme of relationship that has existed from the beginning. In God's clothing of Adam and Eve, he acts to cover our shame and recover our sense of humanity. In casting the humans out of garden, God extends mercy by keeping the first humans, and the human race, from existing in a fallen state for eternity. Even after an act marked by deceit, carelessness, fear, and consequences by the human, it is the hand of God that reaches out (both to Adam and Eve, and to us) as an act of redeeming love that unfolds in the rest of Scripture and human history.
