Camping Weekend

Church group camping in the Wrightwood area this weekend.

We had two "villages" set up on the twin camp sites.

Each small groups were responsible for their lunch and breakfast arrangements.

In the evening we enjoyed a nice roaring camp fire, making S'more, playing and singing worship songs, and games.

Fellowship over meals and various camping activities.

A group of us went on a five mile hike to a near by trailhead.

the hiking was pretty fun and fairly close to camp.

On Saturday we had a group BBQ potluck.

It was a nice time to relax and enjoy fellowship and food.

It also gave many of us opportunities to get to know each other alittle bit better outside of the Sunday church gatherings.

Some of the campers left because of concerns of smoke and ashes from a nearby forest fire. Fortunately, the fire was contained and the air cleared up later in the evening. The remaining campers enjoyed playing games and singing around the campfire on Saturday evening.

Sunday morning was busy with cooking leftovers from the BBQ potluck and preparing the remaining food items for breakfast / brunch before packing up for home.

Soon it was time to pack and go.

It was good time and new memories made over the weekend! More photos here.
