MESSAGE: Hospitality
TEXT: Luke 14, Matthew 25
SYNOPSIS: Hospitality is a subject deserving more than one sermon, simple in concept but often complex in practice. But in our time, the hope is to discover that Christian hospitality extends beyond what might be expected of the larger society. Jesus himself is our compelling reason for an ethic of hospitality - for he is both host (welcoming all) and guest (incarnate, needing a place to lay his head) all at the same time. What is the range of hospitable acts? How do we practice better hospitality as individuals and as a church community? We will hear from some of our best practitioners to get an idea of what it can look like.
