Series: CAN YOU RELATE? A Look at Who God Is and How to Relate to Him

Message: God As Presence

Synopsis: Last week we explained that God is relational. This week we explore his presence to us. When someone is "there for us" they affirm their relationship to us through personal being. Throughout scripture, this is one of God's most frequent assurances, from the Father ("I will be with you") to Jesus ("And surely I am with you always") to the Spirit ("he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever"). More specifically, we'll look at some of the ways we experience his presence, namely as epiphany, as intentional "tuning in", as general awareness, and in suffering (as silence).
