Delta Boy is back home in da Delta. Burrrrrrr is it cold (35 degree). Well my travel day ordeal is over. Due to last minute packing and taking care of household business, DB went to bed at 12:30 and got up at 2:30 for the 4:00am shuttle. The Shuttle to LAX was on time and there were only two more stops before I got to LAX. However, it was hell waiting in line to get my boarding pass at LAX. Those America West people need to get their act together. Even the TSA folks were complaining about the disorganization. The holiday rush thru airline security was hell too! My LA to Phoenix leg was delayed but atleast I was able to make my connecting fly to Memphis. It was wonderful to have really nice folks seated next to me on both flights. Otherwise, it was catnapping thru both flights.
My little bro' met me at Memphis airport and we had a late lunch at the Cracker Barrel Country Store / Restaurant at the Mississippi / Tennessee border. We both had the samplier platter with chicken n' dumplings, sugar cured ham, and meatloaf. I had turnip greens, sweet carrots, and fried okra for my sides!
We finally got back into Greenwood at 5:30 pm (3:30pm Pacific Time). Home again!!
