waiting in line for the 1st annual LA Street Food Festival in downtown LA at the LA Center Studios. I was lucky to buy the pre-sale ticket, as it turn out to be a zoo getting in thru general admission.

My friend snapped a photo of me in line (I look like a foodie stalker, huh?!).

We waited until 11:30'ish before the fire marshal would allow us to come in.

I thought this was an interesting disclaimer, I don't think anyone left because of it. Basically "Eat at your own risk!"

The friendly (and overwhelmed) ladies at the pre-sale registration

Wide Open at 11am

The Slice Truck (Pizza)

the earliest line for the Buttermilk Truck

Hot Pastrami!

These lovely ladies will soon see crowds in front of their truck!

hmmm, Japanese Hot Dogs

Grilled Cheese truck (wished I had some!)

My first stop was "Fishlip Sushi"!

special menu for this event

I ended up with Spicy Tuna rolls - they were good and lite!

There were mini boutiques next to the office buildings

They had a DJ playing all day

the quiet side of the Flying Pig truck, there were tons of folks on the business side!

My second stop was at Don Chow Tacos

Here's their menu today, I don't know if this was a special for today or their normal menu

just in time for Chinese New Year

yum, Don Chow Tacos (BBQ Pork / Char Su taco and Kung Pao Chicken taco)

by noon time it was getting really crowded!

I thought this was interesting and made it my third stop for today

ugh the line was long, the sun was hot and the food was alittle over priced for what you got

The Mini Banh Mi and fried egg roll was only okay ... Pho (noodle soup) would have been better!

refreshment stand

another refreshment stand

the crowd was getting really big by noon time!

wall to wall people surrounding the trucks now!

Congrats to the organizers for a good first effort, maybe next time will be alittle more organized and controlled.
