SERIES: REDEMPTION VALUE

The power of God to bring good from the bad we experience

7/27 - THE POWER OF GOD

Teaching Kevin Doi

Synopsis: Our wrap-up message; I want to address the misunderstanding about God's power. We prefer the sovereignty of God over the presence of God. But the power of God is not primarily a superman power (to prevent all bad things from happening), but the power to enter into human pain and to transform it from within. It's the power to bring good from bad, life from death; this is a "weak" power. God doesn't have the power to save us from hurt and death, only the power to heal and resurrect us! Ultimately, this is the power of love.

Bonus Photo: James is showing off a cereal box with a child model that looks almost like our own little Karina! (Thanks James for sharing your cool cereal box discovery with us!)

Creating Life Maps

Synopsis: We'll be creating life maps together, with emphasis on identifying places of pain and seeing how God has/is working with that to bring about healing and fruit for ministry. People will get in triads to share their life maps with each other.
