Series: Green.Peace
Message: Dirty Plan: the importance of being here.

So what is a biblical view of the environment? Is it a resource to be consumed? A treasure to be protected? What if any needs should wesuboordinate to environmental issues. Much of the answer lies in the interpretation of "dominion" in the Genesis story. In this Magna Carta of humanity's place in the world, what can we learn about this topic?

Bowling after work

Went to the local bowling alley after work, we had a coupon for one free game for up to 10 folks.

some "food" before bowling ...

I was wondering if all my Wii Bowling was going to help ... actually I bowled a 151 in the first game and a crappy 91 in the 2nd (a whopping 60 pin differents but not to bad since my average used to be around 130). But my team won a free lunch off the other team!

Scores from game one

Scores from game two

It was fun, but definately NOT LIKE Wii!

Message: Circuit Breaker

In our new series exploring environmental issues, it is appropriate tolook at how we use science and faith as they are both inescapable. Science, strictly speaking is methodology while faith is meaning. This doesn't mean, however that faith only explains the inexplicable. The truth of the matter is that even the most intense Christians have allowed science to become faith, subtly.

The creationist account of Genesis 1 is a perfect example of the way we have allowed science to overload our faith. We short circuit and blow a fuse when we consider the origin of the universe and scripture.
