Today at Epic - Joint service w/ WAC

Today was a special joint service with our host / sister church Wilshire Avenue (WAC).


The worship team was mix between our two churches.


There was a time of meet n greeting each other.

In addition, we broke into prayer groups with folks from both churches praying and sharing communion with each other.


Afterwards, WAC graciously hosted a BBQ luncheon for both churches.

Busy Saturday

We had service for my Uncle Henry this morning in Montebello . God bless you, Uncle Henry!

Afterwards, friends and family shared a meal at Ocean Star restaurant in Alahambra.


Since I was in the Montebello area pretty much all day, I brought my clubs to try out the driving range at the Montebello country club where the Hilton Garden Inn (formerly the Quiet Cannon) is located. I was able to go on the course as a single (it was more than I normally pay for twilight rates but I had practically the whole front 9 holes to myself). I finished the front 9 and started to play the 10th and 11th before it started getting dark. I'm not sure how what my score was but it sure as heck was a looooong front 9. Almost all par 4 and 5's (300 - 500 yards each) except for holes #6 and #9. It was a very warm day too. To see more pictures from the course, click here.


Later after I got home and washed up, my roomie invited me and another friend for dinner. Unfortunately, the Japanese place we wanted to try was close for remodeling so we settled for the "Tofu House" next door.

After checking out the "Cake House", we walked back to the townhouse and set up Rick's new Wii video game. We just got thru "boxing" each other. Rick won the first round. I got all hot and sweaty from the boxing, baseball, bowling and golfing already!

A very full day indeed!
